|Singapore|
Singapore was the first stop of my journey. After a long flight from Frankfurt (Germany) over Colombo (Sri Lanka) to Singapore I’ve finally met my travel buddy Timo. He was waiting for me at the Changi Airport because his flight arrived 4 hours earlier than mine. It was great to finally meet him due to the fact that we’ve spoken only by phone a couple of times before.
When I went out of the airport I experienced the tropical heat for the first time in my life – and it was soooo hot 😀 With the big two backpacks on my shoulders I instantly started to sweat but luckily we went by a bus shuttle directly to our hotel – so it wasn’t that bad. The first hotel, where we spent two nights, was quite nice with a pool and a great view of Singapores’ skyline. After the check-in we were going for a walk through the city and had an Asian dinner where a nice and funny Asian guy served our food. He was about 75 years old and he told us about his two wife’s, which are keeping him young, strong and healthy. It was fun listening to him 😀
The second day we visited Little India and the botanic garden. Due to the heat it was impossible to visit some more places, so we went back to the hotel and cooled down in the pool area.
On the last day we moved to another hotel with an amazing big pool area on the rooftop. After the check-in we visited Chinatown for a while and ate great Asian food again at a big market. Afterwards we were heading back to the hotel – totally excited to go to the pool area. Up there you have an amazing view over the city with a long pool, palms and sunbeds – a little paradise over the roofs of Singapore.
The three days in Singapore passed quite quickly and now we’re sitting in the plane to the next station – New Zealand – with a short stopover in Sydney.
I’m looking forward what’s coming up next
